As part of our ongoing efforts to increase the number of subscribers for the Landline and Value Added Services, we recommend to introduce a bundle of a full featured Cordless Phone for free of charge with Annual rental of Fixed Line (DEL) along with Free Rental charge of Caller ID Clip and Call Waiting services for three months.


Introduction
A Landline is a physical or satellite line from the place of use to a telephone exchange which is part of a Public Switched Telephone Network. Regional, National and International Connections are possible through the use of PSTN Exchanges and International Switches. Various types of terminals can be connected to a fixed line to provide voice, data or image transmissions.
Consumer Landlines are provided with free local calls with international tariff Plans off peak rates for International calls and rental charge of AED45/- is billed on quarterly basis.
In order to achieve the Target in the current global financial recession, and is proposed to introduce "Annual Payment Plan Contract" (APP) Consumer Landline

1. Business Rules:

1. Customer will have the option to subscribe to Annual Payment Plan (APP); Annual Rental charges of AED180/- payable in advance and an installation charge of AED 180/-
2. The customer will get Free Siemens GIGASET C380, featuring the energy-saving ECO DECT Technology, handset with full Feature (as F-SMS, Caller indication displayed) as well as Environmental protection. Caller ID and Call Waiting facilities ar also included
3. In addition, FREE RENTAL for 3 months on Caller ID Clip and Call Waiting services is provided when subscribing together for Landline.
4. If the customer wants to cancel the contract before the end of the 12-month period, he/she should get the Cordless phone as the customer has already paid for the Rental charges for the 12 months.
5. At the End of Contract period (12 Months), the rental charges will be as per standard policy. (Rental charge will be every 3 Months).


Note:


Caller ID Clip and Call Waiting services are available only on Analogue Landlines.
After 3 months, the customers would be charged the existing quarterly rental of AED 15 for each service.

4. Standard Installation charge AED 180/-will be applicable for the 1st line. and a free
Siemens handset will be provided.
5. Second line Installation will be free
6. All existing usage charging policy for Consumer Landline is applicable
7. Minimum period of hire will be 12 months.

The retail price of this bundle is AED 360 and it will include the following elements:

In major business centres across the country, festivities celebrating the 38th UAE National day have taken place.

In an extravagant set up, the Abu Dhabi Regional Office, celebrated with ballon displays and the flag hoisting ceremony outside the building, with decorations and demonstrations of traditional wares that continued inside.
Honorary guest from the top management of Etisalat, lead by His Excellency Mohamed Omran, Chairman of Etisalat and Acting CEO, Nasser bin Obood, enjoyed the celebrations and speech given by their host, Abu Dhabi General Manager, Jamal Al Nuaimi.

when roaming in KSA during Hajj


Abu Dhabi, UAE, November 12, 2009 – Etisalat today announced it has made it affordable for its customers to keep in touch with their loved ones when conducting their pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Etisalat UAE customers who use the Mobily network while roaming in Saudi Arabia will not be charged for receiving voice calls during the Hajj period. Etisalat customers can also make voice calls to the UAE for a reduced price of AED 3 per minute.

The Sr. vice president, Marketing said: “Etisalat is committed to providing the best services and the greatest value to its customers, particularly during the Hajj period. Our free incoming roaming service and the initial roaming deposit waiver will help keep our subscribers connected to their families and friends”

As part of our continuous efforts to increase awareness of Etisalat Mobile Business solutions, we are pleased to announce the soft launch of Mobile Business Messaging service to our valued Business customers. Businesses opting for this trial can use the service for FREE until December 31, 2009.

Mobile Business Messaging service allows businesses to send and receive SMS and MMS using a Desktop Client or through direct connectivity to the MMSC. It is a full messaging solution that provides multiple options of connectivity, interfaces, platforms and features, allowing businesses to communicate and interact effectively with their customers at a fraction of a cost compared to standard Media - a complete interactive communication solution for Etisalat Business customers, both ES and SMBs

The new "Mobile Business Messaging" service is expected to be ready for commercial launch in Q1 2010. Until then, the service will be offered as a trial version free of charge to our business customers as part of the soft launch.

Intracom Telecom Pacts With Etsialat

INTRACOM TELECOM signs framework agreement with Etisalat

Athens – 10 November 2009 - INTRACOM TELECOM, a part of SITRONICS, announced today the signing of a frame agreement by its Dubai based subsidiary, INTRACOM Middle East, to supply its point-to-point (INTRALINK) and point-to-multipoint (WiBAS) radio equipment to Etisalat, a world-class UAE-based telecommunication services provider, operating in 17 countries across Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

Under the terms of this frame agreement, INTRACOM TELECOM’s wireless solutions will be deployed in Etisalat’s network expansion projects enabling the operator to effectively backhaul 2G/3G traffic and to provide its business customers broadband wireless services.

Fadhil Ansari, Executive Vice President of Engineering at Etisalat said: “Wireless broadband is a strategically important technology in the Middle East and Africa. Besides the backhauling of 2G, 3G and Wimax base stations, enabling the easy expansion of the Network, the systems can provide high-speed connectivity to customers located in areas where it is not possible either to deploy fiber, or to maintain it. 94 Million Global Customers for Etisalat

Etisalat’s Global Customer Base Reaches 94 Million

Abu Dhabi and Istanbul, 4 November 2009: Etisalat announced today its international subscriber base has reached 94 million and that the number will soon reach 100 million subscribers soon with operations covering nearly two billion people across its eighteen markets around the world.

Ahmed bin Ali, Senior Vice President Corporate Communications represented Etisalat in the event shared with the audience a paper on behalf of Etisalat titled “Efficiency Strategies for Reaching Record Results”. The paper highlighted Etisalat successful 33 years history including the time global financial crisis noting that Etisalat maintained year on year 9% growth in net profits and 6% in revenues in 2009.

The paper explained how Etisalat managed to achieve growth in its revenues the last three years faster than pervious years allowing sufficient cash position to finance its operations and strategic expansions. Etisalat Addresses Global Green Telecom Summit in Dubai

Dubai, 2nd November 2009: Etisalat is putting sustainability within reach of its staff and customers by deploying the latest technologies and focusing on quality and efficiency. This was the theme of a presentation made by the company’s Group Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Nasser bin Obood, on the opening day of the Global Green Telecom Summit which is taking place this week at the Etisalat Academy in Dubai.

Nasser bin Obood explained how the company was supporting the vision and initiatives of the UAE government by offering its employees and customers a green choice.

“The environment is not only important to the UAE today, but has always been seen as critical. This is why the UAE continues to take a positive and proactive position on matters related to sustainability. Etisalat is therefore proud to be able to support the aims of the UAE government and the global community. We are doing this through our own initiatives aiming to reduce our carbon footprint, but also by developing solutions and innovations that help our customers,” Nasser bin Obood explained.

In this respect, he unveiled that Etisalat new Residential Gateway has software developed by SoftAtHome ( French company where Etisalat has 16.6 % shares). This software will allow customers to pre-schedule their wireless Internet connection so that it automatically turns off at selected times, helping to reduce wasted electricity specially at night. This software, will come as part of the company’s Residential Gateway offering which will be available early next year.

He also discussed the various business solutions that Etisalat is offering to corporates including virtualization and data storage, cloud computing, mobile and Internet payment solutions and video conferencing.

Etisalat’s executive then explained the role Etisalat is playing in the nation as a whole – highlighting the major energy savings that are possible through the replacement of legacy copper networks with fiber-optic cables. The entire Abu Dhabi island is set to be upgraded to ‘Green Broadband’ by the end of this year, and the entire country is due to be connected by 2011. Nasser also explained that Etisalat is also supporting Masdar on the development of the world’s first carbon-neutral and zero-waste city.

Nasser bin Obood said: “Etisalat was an early adopter in green technology and we continue to innovate in this area. Our buildings have been designed to early ‘green’ specifications with effective insulation, non-polluting fire extinguishers, smart building technology and architectural design. Further, our investment in fiber-optic technology may see energy savings of up to 70% according to our studies. We are now partnering with the local municipalities and developers to provide the technical infrastructure and expertise on which they can deploy similar energy saving technologies.”

Etisalat is also leading the way in terms of its own buildings and operations and has outsourced the management of its facilities to its subsidiary Etisalat Facility Management (eFM). Etisalat Facility Management is in the progress of implementing a variety of solutions to help reduce waste and energy efficiency for the telco, which already has ‘smart building’ technology installed as standard across its operations.

“The environment is always factored into our business planning, and we undertake rigorous studies whenever we are placing a new mast or install other infrastructure. We are also outsourcing certain functions to enable best-practise in facility and property management to be efficiently implemented across our operations,” bin Obood continued.

Finally Nasser expanded upon the company’s various community initiatives including the award winning ‘Origin’ water conservation programme from Egypt and the long-running campaign to eradicate waste mobile phones and electronic waste from the UAE – ‘Envirofone’.

“Our community initiatives not only raise awareness of problems, but try to create a solution. In Egypt, Etisalat Misr, is helping to provide drinking water to many thousands of people, whereas here in the UAE we have successfully removed 150 tonnes of electronic waste from local landfill sites,” Nasser concluded.

Abu Dhabi, UAE November 2, 2009 - Etisalat’s Business Solutions designed and installed 105 mobile sites including 50 3G sites in less than one month to ensure that the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix was at the pole position in connectivity.

The Etisalat team worked over a period of eight months to design and install the required solutions to ensure complete coverage for thethousands of tourists, international media and racing teams at the event.

Etisalat connected the Yas Island in Abu Dhabi with its robust connectivity infrastructure providing mobile and data connectivity to the teams, broadcasters, suppliers and spectators. The telecom infrastructure not only enhanced the sporting experience for the spectators, but also assisted the participating teams to benefit from the data connectivity solutions to relay live information from the race track to the team’s headquarters and other key locations.

Etisalat was initially briefed to expect a capacity of 50,000 people at any one point in time. However, the company planned for much more to ensure there was zero blockage. This was a major engineering challenge as it called for integrating the telecom platform across several locations including hotels and the Corniche area.

Etisalat’s reliable technology infrastructure and broad band connectivity along with its secure global partner networks, in effect, connected the race track to the rest of the world in real time. This provided an unsurpassed experience to millions of customers and spectators across the globe, who were able to witness the motorsport live.

F1 Grand Prix at Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi now officially part of one of the world biggest events
F1 fever hits the UAE and Etisalat was there


Sunday afternoon was the culmination of millions of man hours, planning in minute details, full weekend of races and exhibitions and the biggest thrill of the Abu Dhabi calendar, the final race of the F1 calendar for 2009.

The Yas Marina circuit hosted the final race of the season- the Etihad F1 Grand Prix and the day was won by Vettel, second place going to Webber, both from the Red Bull stable. Amongst the 40 000 plus crowd, were a number of Etisalat employees who had the great fortune of winning tickets to this first time event in the UAE

Emphasis needs to be put on the fact that these links are vital to the team during the race as they have live communication with the HQ in their respective countries which plays an instrumental role in monitoring the driver during the race and effect the outcome of the result, and the race might have been called off if the communication experienced any failure.

Furthermore, Etisalat has worked with the internal media teams (F1 teams) to provide them with the required infrastructure for the coverage during the race which is watched by more than 600 Million viewers Worldwide.

International Talent Conference

Dubai, 25th October 2009: The Etisalat Academy today announced that it expects to welcome over 800 delegates at the 2009 edition of its annual International Talent Conference. This year the Academy is partnering with the Leadership Development Centre in the Ministry of Interior to organise the event, which is taking place under the patronage of H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior on the 28th and 29th October 2009, at Atlantis Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.

This is the second time the conference will take place in the UAE, and this year will host a series of talks addressing the overlying theme of ‘Managing Talent in Turbulent Times’. It will focus on identifying talented individuals, helping HR professionals make the right choice when hiring candidates and assisting leaders to manage talent in order to achieve their organisation’s goals.

His Excellency Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori, UAE Minister of Economy, will present the introductory speech, highlighting the importance of talent management in today’s fast paced environment.

Dubai, October 21, 2009: Etisalat today announced plans to introduce a web collaboration service – “eZMeet”, in partnership with Microsoft/partner thereby making it easier for organizations of all sizes to experience the benefits of Web collaboration through a managed services model, be it simple ad-hoc collaboration sessions, formal Web-based meetings, advanced online training or large communication events.

eZMeet is a hosted Web collaboration service that connects and engages audiences in online meetings, training, and events through a reliable, enterprise-class hosted service. With meeting attendees participating from their PCs, phones (fixed and mobiles) users can deliver a presentation, kick off a project, brainstorm ideas, edit files, collaborate on whiteboards and negotiate deals.

التسعير الجديدة التي توفر قدرا أكبر من الشفافية والقيمة
لعملائها.



كجزء من هذا تجديد ، اتصالات سوبر خارج عملاء الهواتف الثابتة
والنقالة الذروة الآن تتمتع خصم زيادة قدرها 60 ٪ على
المكالمات الدولية خلال سوبر خارج ساعات الذروة. لتوفير المزيد
من القيمة لعملائها اتصالات ، كما مدد سوبر خارج ساعات الذروة.
سوبر مخفض التوقيت ، والذي كان 1am - 7am ، قد مددت ل 11pm -
7am واصبحت سارية المفعول. ساعتين إضافية سيوفر فائدة مزدوجة
للعملاء من خلال توفير المزيد من الوقت للتواصل مع أصدقائهم
وعائلاتهم في حين تتمتع تخفيضات إضافية المعروضة.

Etisalat Reduced Global Call Rates

ETISALAT LEADS MARKET WITH THE UAE'S LOWEST INTERNATIONAL CALLING RATES
Etisalat offers best discounts on International calls
Includes Favorite Country Plan and Super off-peak customers
Super Off-Peak time now extended from 11pm-7am

Abu Dhabi, 20 October 2009: Etisalat today announced the activation of its new pricing maximum that provides greater value and transparency to its customers.

As a part of this revamp, Etisalat Super off-peak fixed and mobile customers will now enjoy an increased discount of 60% on international calls during the Super off-peak hours. To provide more value to its customers, Etisalat has also extended the Super Off-peak hours. The Super Off-Peak timing,which was 1am-7am, have been extended to 11pm-7am and is now in effect. The additional two hours will provide a dual benefit to the customers by providing more time to connect with their friends and families while enjoying the additional discounts offered.

Besides Super off-peak discounts, customers can also enjoy higher discounts during off-peak hours. Discounts for fixed line customers have been increased to 45%, post-paid customers to 40% and Wasel customers to 35%.
